We had such a great day yesterday, sorry I didn't get any photos of the shared lunch or the water fight but it was great. Thank goodness we finally had some lovely weather.

Swimming

We have had a great two weeks at swimming lessons and learning about water safety. We know to swim with the current on a diagonal to the side of the river or out past the tow in the sea. We can get safely into a boat and help one and other to get in but also to keep the boat steady.  It was fun swimming in our pyjamas but we need to get out of the heavy clothes quickly. We can make a huddle to keep warm and keep each other safe.

Animals, animals, animals

Last week Lucy's mum brought in Bob the Blue Tongue Lizard for us to look at and learn about. Lucy had lots of information to share about what Bob likes to eat; meat, blueberries, mashed banana, and his favourite 'snails'. Bob felt cold to touch which wasn't surprising because we knew he was cold-blooded. He also felt smooth and not slimy. Bob, as you might have guessed, has a blue tongue and it looks like a snakes tongue, he uses his tongue to smell with. Bob walks slowly when he is cold but when he warms up he can run fast. Ask if your child can explain what happened to Bob's tail ...
